I’m okay with him being mocked with his own meme format, this doesn’t quite hit that note though

“I’m a terrible human funded by other terrible humans : change my mind” is the way this meme should be used going forward.

It’s no longer a useful meme for social commentary, and should really only be applicable when discussing how much of a piece of shit this human turd is.

Had a friend who was in denial that Vulcans were basically space elves, Klingon space orcs and ferengi basically space goblins.

Missed the obvious “My mind to your mind” for the second line of the banner.

Spock is only a pointy ear because it was cheaper that a full green suit when i remember correctly. Like teleporting got only invented because the parts for the shuttle did not arrive early enough or where to expensive, something like that.

Yea, as the DS9 Crew did go back in time worf was asked why they looked so different and his reaction was simply: we dont talk about it ^^
I think they have a somewhat explaination in one of the newer series where soong had some stronger klingons that looked human like and that this “visual softening” carried over to others

Ah, I was under another impression since it seemed like the 70s were all the rage for LotR. I blame D&D gaining popularity, my college even named a dorm for Middle Earth in the 70s lol

This raises a question in my mind. Didn’t Star Trek predate the Tolken definition of elf? Was there a fantasy setting definition prior to both that wasn’t like … Santa elves or some shit?

The Hobbit was released in 1937, and The Lord of The Rings in 1954 Star Trek was released in 1966, and the original pitch was written in 1964.

LotR was released a decade before Roddenberry even put pen to paper the first time regarding Trek.
