it’s also crazy that the supreme court said that biden has the legal authority to do it anyways; but he won’t.

Trying to explain to libs that it’s all by design and their beloved government was specifically structured to make sure nothing good could happen is the tankie equivalent of prometheus getting his liver eaten for bringing fire to humans.

Their archivist has political power, rather than just handling archive stuff?

Admittedly, I don’t have patience for NYT, I believe all of them should be thrown into the barbara-pit or face Nurmberg Trials Part 2, so I didn’t read very closely, but it sounds like the archivist is just refusing to do their job for this document so that it can’t get passed into law, or something like that?

Any normal human would get fired for saying “I don’t like this document, so I’m not going to do my job”, but I guess rules are different when you’re a politician shrug-outta-hecks
And Biden etc. won’t even do anything about it, because his party loves defeat

I don’t even blame them. Genocide Joe and the other democrat “supporters” are most likely tacitly supporting this no name bureaucrat in blocking this. Thank God! now we don’t have to do any work, but we can still stay we “tried” and some forgettable scapegoat can all the heat for it. The perfect liberal policy!

Watch her get a sweet private sector “consulting” gig in a couple years as quid pro quo. If they actually wanted this they would just run her over, literally if necessary.

  • Hey that’s great guys, but how about someone whose job it is to make that decision?

Like I’m sorry, no, you don’t get to make that choice. That’s just called “doing your fucking job”

Dominos delivery driver rejects bid to have pizzas delivered. No? You’re fired, actually, and being replaced with someone who will do the basic responsibilities of their job.

Holy shit to be a bureaucrat for the Democratic Party must be the fucking dream. Just continuously refusing to do any work and being promoted for it. Crazy.

Whos next the White House gardener?

    Maybe. Emphasis mine.

The national archivist on Tuesday preemptively stated she could not legally certify the Equal Rights Amendment as part of the Constitution, an unusual move that effectively shut down a campaign by Democrats to pressure President Biden to add it before he leaves office.

    […]

During her confirmation process, Dr. Shogan in 2022 told lawmakers that she would not add the amendment to the Constitution, saying that Congress or the federal judiciary would make that determination.

With President Biden under pressure to add the an amendment explicitly guaranteeing sex equality to the Constitution, Colleen Shogan said she could not legally certify it.

    Bold part added by me.

NYT? The fuck? You let this go live with a typo right there in the executive overview (or whatever they call that) first paragraph? It really is failing

Long standing memo that the plumbing must not be clogged from a random district’s clerk’s township after hours bathroom’s 3rd men’s stall from the southwest corridor dictates it is not cooth to yet ratify this. As the toilet has yet not flowed the same since the great Judge Curic’s epic clog of 1975. It just isn’t right until the toilet’s full flow is resotred. Right now multiple flushes and too often slow drainage just delays effective passage of such a bill.

    Congress must respect this process.
