Can someone point me to the transphobia / racist information? Or whatever else is being alluded to constantly here. When or where was it posted?

just as I post a comment to the mod thread referencing to such info to ask about it, the thread is locked.

Edit: so far the only thing is 1 retweet of a very obnoxious article praising Richard Dawkins. Surely there is more?

He reposted anti-woke/anti-DEI content in a post-affirmative action Amerika. As a result, he earns the same benefit of the doubt as a full-on british-descent Anglo-Saxon gets out of me: none at fucking all.

He’s an opp, so is everyone still making excuses for him, especially that wannabe concentration camp guard motherfucker.

Part of a post of mine from another thread:

Maybe it is possible for someone to change in the span of two years; but the entire reason I don’t give that benefit of the doubt is because putting that faith in the wrong one gets folk like me killed or worse. Maybe someone can hairpin in that short a timespan, but I genuinely wouldn’t be able to believe it without a substantial receipt of their works in the time that they claim to have changed.

The only work I’ve seen out of him is personally-motivated revenge killing. This is not enough for me to consider his uplifting. I’m not even sure how much I like the concept he temporarily embodied anymore, knowing how it emerged.

      ???

Overall I agree with you I think. Just because someone could change in 2 years doesn’t mean this person did, and until there is a reason to think that happened, it’s just fan fic. It reminds me of conversations around Me Too where there’s an argument about whether or not anyone can ever “come back” after perpetrating by apologizing, making amends, reparative justice etc. The discussion is irrelevant because none of these people ever even attempt to do so.

Likewise any discussion of what this guy might be secretly thinking is irrelevant and boring. Fan fic pls go to archiveofourown.org

I’m also interested in this line of thought. When the assassination first happened everyone was hypothesizing that the killer would be upset about the suffering/death of a family member or something. Which would still be a revenge killing. But I have to admit when I heard it was about himself I found it a bit less… admirable.

Also am a bit confused given that his family is so wealthy, was insurance really the limiting factor for anything? Like the fact about back problems is a lot of them are kind of intractable. it’s just a shitty thing about human bodies. Money isn’t the issue. I’ve known people who bear decades-long grudges against doctors who refused them surgery or medications for such problems when the truth of the matter is that those treatments were unlikely to have been helpful and carried risk. I almost feel like a surgeon could just as easily have been the target of the attack given the available information.

Abe’s killer was an ex-military guy who I believe he said he liked Abe, but only killed him because of Abe’s links to the Korean Unification Church and because the Church scammed his mother.

man seriously fuck you. idc if this comment was already removed, i need you to know how disgusting you are. the fact that you feel comfortable enough to admit this and then act indignant when called out on it is just fucking unbelievable to me. or i wish it was unbelievable, but apparently everyone on this fucking website is some ex-klanner piece of shit! you should be ashamed to show your face in public, much less act as though you have any fucking authority on left matters. i don’t care if you’ve supposedly changed, i would never trust someone like you to fight by my side. i have zero faith that you people, the apparent majority of my “comrades”, would not immediately throw me and the people i care about to the wolves if it meant the slightest perceived victory for the western left.

        cringe

I wouldn’t talk about this so freely if this was true. Do you think you were just generally very apathetic? What moved you out of apathy? Something I struggle with when trying to agitate people who think that way (lots of people I know who fully understand that Defense contractors are profiting off the genocide of Palestinians yet would take a job there anyway) is that apathy is a hole that’s impossible to dig someone out of via external stimulus. If nothing matters, nothing can convince you that, actually, some things do matter (from which point other things can start mattering too, and it becomes an ideology). But that kind of all-consuming nihilism is a current that I see way too often and I think it’s a major force behind fascism. But fascism succeeds at mobilizing nihilists and turning them into misanthropes, doesn’t it? What’s the secret to doing the opposite?

This is not an anti-eugenics statement. It is opposition to hysterectomies/oophorectomies, orchiectomies, reduced fertility by reason of long term HRT and other imagined consequences of gender affirming care being obtained by some trans minors.

Wait this is supposed to be a negative thing huh? I thought this was a dunk on Elon Musk tbh, saying that we will rip the system down and build socialism from the ground up, but I suppose this is a criticism of people who want to do that. Now that I’m rereading it it’s clear that this was supposed to be a takedown of the left and not the right. Forgive me for not reading through one man’s entire Twitter history.

The guy retweeting Elon is not being critical of his views. He agrees with everything Musk said and is simply adding that it’s a shame not everybody agrees. Luigi retweeted support for Elon’s tweet that is laden with dog whistles.

I think I read it the same way as you the first time around. I was distracted by this, which sounds to be in contradiction to Musk and arguing a more reasonable, if lib, position:

what you call the “woke mind virus” cares about one thing: equality

On third glance I see that the next line is the point of the thing:

The levelers want to destroy everything because in the rubble we’ll all be equal.

It is the opposite sentiment of “a rising tide lifts all boats”. That an ambition towards equality will inevitably sink all to a lowest common denominator.

I also got distracted by mention of “the levelers” which is being used derisively here, not in a positive sense. And because the language is somewhat reminiscent of some left slogans such as “a new world in the shell of the old” I mis understood it.

So I am compelled to agree with @Sulvor that it’s shitty.

“Your commitment to long term civilizational success, Elon, is not universally shared”

He thinks the stuff Elon is talking about are required for society to progress. If he’s at all critical, it’s from a position that Elon isn’t going far enough.

No I don’t think that is correct, he’s saying that elons views towards the welfare of society in the longterm isn’t shared by everyone and then he says that the people that do believe in it aren’t the majority.

Idk about transphobia. But he said some really weird shit about Japanese people which didn’t even make any fucking sense, and pretty sure he used the same racist anti-immigration talking points that far-right people have being using since the 1940’s.

Thanks for the relevant reply which is a retweet of (in part):

within 2 decades his side is worshiping at the DEI shrine, using made-up pronouns like religious mantras, and firing professors for saying men cant get pregnant
