From what I can tell with my half baked grasp of Chinese, he’s visiting a subdivision of the military(perhaps a training school) of some sorts to just check in on them and learn about their situation. So then this group of girls all put on a performance to welcome/show gratitude/possibly suck up so they don’t get gulaged.
There’s also a guy saying that every Chinese exchange student he’s met has been “brainwashed” and refuses to demounce the ccp even when they’re not being recorded. Someone points out that he sounds brainwashed and he takes offence at the US even being compared to China. Then as a cherry on top, someone just adds on a long ass post saying that the Uyghur population has decreased so much that they now exist in negative numbers in some areas. Here in the US I have absolutely heard this kind of stuff IRL. My favorite is when a professor confided in me that he was worried that all Chinese students were possibly communist spies being controlled by the CCP via the campus’s Confucius Institute. Now I guess he doesn’t have to worry about that since the Federal government in the last 2 or 3 years revoked public funding for universities with CI’s so only rich private colleges like Stanford have them now.
