Why is this person a mod? Why are they banning people for supporting Russia in the war. Shit is fucked. Sorry for supporting Putin on this one issue but you are wrong, Wagner doesn’t compare to Azov, two legislators in Russia doesn’t compare to the ministries held by nazis in Ukraine. Z.

Edit: I talked to Princess Celestia, the creator of the matrix space and seems like ashira overreacted because platforms gettting banned sucks. Hopefully things will work out.

Yeah I know, I tried to point that out, a couple of spray painted swastickas in Libya, one guy with Nazi tats that may or may not be in charge of one of an unknown number of separate organisations. It’s some real weak sauce that they want to pretend is as serious as thousands of open nazis in uniform with Nazi patches receiving support from the state.

Like if we can’t post pro Russian shit on discord because we’ll get shut down, I understand, that’s fine. But what even is the point of going to matrix if we can’t share counter narratives to the mainstream propaganda.

Ashira has been very greedy when it comes to mod power. I can even think of the time she banned LiberalSlayer because she was vaguely annoying to Ashira

i don’t like how Ashira treats the admin words like the gospel

if reddit or discord want to ban us, theyll do anything, including inventing new rules, to do it

That’s a bad take. Russia and NATO are both imperialists and neither deserve any support. But you shouldn’t ban people over a bad take either.

Russia deserves support as a state fighting and weakening the global imperialist powers regardless of its own faults.

Supporting one imperialist over another is chauvinism and opportunism. We learned this lesson a century ago from Lenin and the collapse of the second international. There’s no need to repeat those mistakes.

Russia is an exporter of commodities, mainly raw resources not of capital, so the imperialism claim is dubious at best.

But even if Russia was imperialist, it absolutely isn’t the same as NATO. Even if it is imperialist, it’s imperialism is so small and globally insignificant that it still wouldn’t justify a comparison to NATO in any way. The two are not the same and treating them as if they were is reductionist, un-materialist, dogmatic and frankly a gross trivialization of the monstrosity that is NATO.

Russia is imperialist. It meets the five features handily. Russia cannot both be “so small and globally insignificant” and be the cause of major international armed conflict and disruption of international markets. Russia is the smaller imperialist in the face of NATO, but it is an imperialist, exerting its military power to extend influence and control over resources, territory, and markets. To deny this and instead naively root for the lesser evil is reductive and ignores material reality. We should not trivialize either monstrosity at play here.
