I am thinking when they finally have to flee Ukraine and end up in Poland and other European countries, which then slowly evolve into other neo Nazi para or even official military in those European countries, similar to how the Mujahideen slowly evolved into the Taliban, Al Qaeda or ISIS from Fatgotlol on Reddit

I’d like to think no. The last time there was a Nazi insurgent group in Europe (The Forest Brothers), the Soviets cracked down on them and stopped most of their activity.

I believe the Mujahedeen was more successful due to them having a territorial advantage compared to the Forest Brothers.

It’s possible. But, we have to consider the material conditions, and the possible outcomes of the war.

The only realistic way for the Azov to become anything like the Taliban is for them to survive the war, and for Mariupol to remain a part of Ukraine post-war. Both of these things aren’t all that likely. possible but, it’s worth taking that possibility with a grain of salt.

The Mujahideen grew into groups like the Taliban because of three factors. Firstly, ideology. They held a strong regional identity and carried a political ideology based on Islamic extremism. Secondly, location. The region of Afghanistan they live in is too mountainous and filled with caves for an invading force to easily hold land for long, inherently giving them an advantage. And the last was NATO backing, which included training, supply, and funding.

Azov has ideology, and they have backing. But they lack an easily defended location. They can’t hide in caves, they can’t flee into mountains. They have hills and streams, wonderful mostly flat land that’s perfect for farming. They might be able to hide in urban areas, but that’s not nearly as secure an option as the landscape of the Bande Pitaw wildlife preserve and the Hindu Kush mountain range.

So, lets just say their odds of survival slim to none, and move on.

this is what I’m afraid of, and there is enough neo-nazis in other part of Europe, Asia, and the United States that they can get support from each other
