oh they’re insanely corrupt, i remember reading that during Plan Colombia (joint with the US military) the goverment was spending like $50k USD per hectare (!!!). For reference, the service of fumigation with plane in latin america is like $20 USD, add $60 more for a high dose of glyphosate, a realistic cost per hectare would be around $80 per fumigation. These guys were spending $50k!!! per fucking hectare, super crooks.
