I’ve deleted 2 Reddit accounts now, most recent on July 1st in protest. Not going back this time, but for the people who feel like they lost something, I have some advice. Go to your own comments and sort by top. Read through the stuff you’ve said over the years that got the most positive feedback. Take it all in, and then let it go.
I just haven’t yet deleted my 2 accounts because I requestes my data and it hasn’t been provided yet. Like 2 or 3 weeks ago. Once I get it won’t have accounts there anymore.
I just GDPR requested my data to get a local archive of all my content. It made deleting my account a bit easier, knowing I have that backup as a memento.
I keep mine in a shoe box like a normal person.
