I feel noticably less anxiety because I am not thinking about the karma game. The post is it. The comment is it. It can be upvoted or down. That’s it! No pressure for points!

    Agreed. This could also have an added benefit of upvoting higher quality posts because of their insight on a topic, not because of the karma of a user. In addition, this should also restrict the use of bot accounts, as they’re irrelevant without karma.

    It also better for your mental health.

    Also makes all the users equal on the platform.

    Also avoid the problem of possibly communities gatekeeping users by karma amounts.
