Who cares. We got our own reddit now with blackjack and hookers.
Just uninstalled RIF. :(
Yup. Apollo is gone 💔
Check out WefWef for Lemmy.
+1 for wefwef
I somehow don’t have the heart to uninstall it yet
Whelp, it was a (mostly) fun 13 years of redditing finally coming to an end. I’m sad but I’m looking forward to start it over again here in the fediverse.
It ended for me and SyncPro. I made my last post on Reddit, and deleted 13 years of comments and posts.
It’s been an honor and a privilege, Infinity.
goes down with ship
It’s still working for me.
What’s weird to me is that it looks like in the end Reddit did something on their end to kill the apps early. Almost as if they decided “ha! Fuck all y’all”
I don’t think so, they just flipped the switch at 0000 UTC.
probably something to do with timezones.
Just uninstalled Boost. Sad face.
But the good news it’s coming to Lemmy !
RIP 3PA
And I can’t even use the web to view the final statements of my former app of choice. Lol Try going to r/boost. …

Relay still works. It’s going to be subscription based, but is free for now.
I don’t like this. Reddit needs to feel the blow. Making the Relay subscription the new normal means the bad guys win.

Infinity is still working. I guess because they said they’d continue with a paid app.
Wanted to check how Sync would be faring after the API change, was greeted with the app repeatedly closing immediately after being opened. Some time ago I used Boost a lot, as well, sad to see all those apps will never be useable.
I was a user of reddit for over a decade, using BaconReader nearly every single day. Now my account is deleted out of principle.
Losing 3rd party apps is a big concern about the future of the site, but if I’m honest, it was the straw that broke the camel’s back - the site had been morphing into a corporate-friendly version of twitter for years now, and I look forward to being rid of it.
I’m not sure if lemmy will be a perfect or full replacement - but even already I feel more connection and less astroturfed here than I have on reddit in years.
