Yeah, really looking towards both it and Boost for Lemmy. Both seem like great looking clients I’d use a lot. In the meantime, it’s just Jerboa and Connect lol

The pain was diminute at first, but slowly augmented, you C.
The comic basically says:
Users: Please run Reddit decently and do stuff people have told you to do for so long.
u/spez: Fuck you. We need to become profitable and to do that the API has to be shut down.
Users: Then, with the enshittification of this website, with the horrible management of once a great land, Reddit will crumble when the IPO approaches and investors get their hands on it. So just go to Lemmy where none of this is happening lmao
If you want a Linux distro that looks the most like Windows 11, Zorin OS (Core or Lite, if it runs better) is made exactly for Windows refugees who want an easy to use and familiar-looking alternative. I feel it’s the most “modern Windows”-looking distro from the stuff I’ve tested.
Everyone keeps rightfully saying Lemmy cannot be a viable Reddit alternative because of the huge popularity disparity. Well… if Reddit keeps losing users and Lemmy keeps gaining users… yeah that could change not long from now.
Same thing happened to Sync. Went to open it, just to find it now closes upon launch and is completely dead otherwise. Not as much of that “gut punch” feeling, since I now use the mobile website, but still really sad to see the 3rd party apps just, dying like this.
Wanted to check how Sync would be faring after the API change, was greeted with the app repeatedly closing immediately after being opened. Some time ago I used Boost a lot, as well, sad to see all those apps will never be useable.
Wanted to check out Sync today, I was greeted with the app repeatedly closing immediately after opening it. So that’s dead as well. What a sad day this is for all of the 3rd party Reddit app devs.
Dang, that must have been quite a shock having your favorite Reddit app just die on you mid-usage… knowing you’ll never be able to use it again.
He used up 100% of his battery.
I use Windows, but I love Zorin OS for its real good looks. Also like Linux Mint, Solus and Kubuntu.
Exactly, Youtube never should have removed that sorting option. Such a weird thing to do that only impairs users, without benefit for Youtube or content creators (assuming you can monetize old videos).
Already commented in the previous post, but I’d love to finish Minecraft: Story Mode. Have played until about episode 4-5 but didn’t get around to checking out the adventure pass.
Have played Minecraft: Story Mode until about Episode 4-5, but haven’t gotten the Adventure Pass. Would be pretty cool to revisit it and finish the game. Thank you for the Humble Bundle keys giveaway!
Maybe they want to interact on an instance that’s defederated by/defederates another. That’s the case with Beehaw, although a lemmy.ml account would work just fine for it too.
If you mean the OceanGate submarine, it seemingly spectacularly imploded after its carbon fiber structure gave in to various microfractures. If that really is what happened, the water pressure killed the crew faster than their brains would’ve processed anything.
I really hope microLED takes off in the near future. It’s basically OLED on steroids, all of its advantages without the risk of screen burn-in. It’s just too expensive right now…
My first Lemmy comment!! Quite good so far, will check out Jerboa later
Anyone remember that really well animated ad about those beans? The one where a father invents different portion sizes of them and saves a crippling family relationship.
