    If there’s no legal basis for it, they should move to add some sort of reparations system to international law that would allow it as consequence of offensive wars. Ofc, the US probably wouldn’t be terribly interested in that.

      Personally, I really hope the west pulls the trigger on this because it’ll be the final nail in the coffin of western dominated global financial system.

        Likewise. They won’t, though. They’ll back down because, well, they’re not that dumb. (But also not that smart.)

          I give it like 50/50, the bankers are firmly against it because they realize what an insane thing this would be to do, but the politics require constant escalation. A lot of what we saw over the past two years has been absolute insanity, but here we are.
