Second Life has been running a "metaverse" since 2003.

    Yeah the modern metaverse is screwy and ignores that many of us have been heavily involved in metaverse for 2 decades. Just adding blockchain doesn’t change a lot.

    Once Meta has their claws deeply enough in the patents the dried husk that was SL will be spat out again.

      There is a LOT of open source in metaverse spaces. Meta cannot and will not own the metaverse. It is a johnny come lately complete pretender.
