So thankful for the cops hiding one car over not responding while I’m being stabbed to death.
Eighteen windbreaker jockies tackling a guy coming in through the out gate to skip fair payments, screaming over their radios that they need backup, and a little police furbie just doing spastic donuts in the corner while blaring “Danger Will Robinson! Danger!”
And god damn, I just don’t feel safe down here for some reason.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Not saying that the subway is a utopia nor that unsafe things never happen here, but I suspect this is a propaganda piece to manufacture consent for the deployment of the national guard in the subway. https://hexbear.net/post/2107256
Indeed, notice the wording, this isn’t an analysis of whether subways actually have more violence or crime, it’s an analysis of how “safe” people feel. Vibes based analysis.
The unsafeness of the subway is of course also explained by the jump in poverty and inequality in the past couple years
Man I wonder if all the heavily armed men in military uniforms make that feel safer
The Citizens Budget Commission is a nonpartisan, nonprofit civic organization that attempts to influence change in the finances and services of New York City and New York State government
Hmmmmm
Return to 70s-80s NYC subway tradition
Does this mean we’re getting The Warriors or Final Fight irl?
And a neoliberal interpretation of the guardian angels
Wasn’t the guy behind that group bad?
I think he started posting cringe
Come out and plaAaAay
Huuuh. Not sure how that would work, but maybe?
As long as NYC gets 70s-80s rents
It’s full of cops and police robots and the national guard, of course it’s not save!
