The KDE Plasma screenshots may vary depending on the Debian release used, as both the KDE Plasma version and the default desktop environments differ between Debian versions. Nonetheless, the core installation process remains similar across versions, allowing you to explore the rich, personalized features that KDE Plasma offers.

Unless there are compatibility reasons for staying on Buster or Bullseye, one should really upgrade to Bookworm as it contains the latest LTS of KDE (5.27) which is the final and still current version of KDE Plasma 5. It is the refinement of many iterations of KDE Plasma 5.

The transition to Plasma 6 is beginning, so efforts will be on transitioning over the next few years. KDE 5.27 will be the best place to stay for most users, and Bookworm is the place to get it.
