Currently following a queer mom on TikTok who is convinced that therian accounts are being artificially boosted among kids right now as a right wing op to conflate transgender kids with therian kids to make both less palatable to the general public and manufacture a moral panic.

The only unusual evidence she has so far is that she’s already gained several hundred followers on a fresh account just by lurking on therian stuff. It doesn’t prove any of the stuff she’s saying but it does suggest there’s some follow circles and botting happening.

I dunno it’s just fun to watch people go down a rabbit hole sometimes even if it’s really out there. I actually have a kid who says they’re a therian and am just kinda going with it. Getting them a mask to decorate and stuff. Apparently they’re not the only one in their class. It does seem to be on the rise regardless of it being natural growth or not.
