Of course you don’t “hate to be that guy”. If you’re suggesting Arch to someone who’s asking for the best debian-based distro then you are that guy.
Every basic debian-based distro will have more than enough stability for a daily driver laptop. OP isn’t looking for a server OS. No Ubuntu user is saying “gosh darn, this distro is too unstable!”
And since when is rolling release Arch more stable than Debian? Wouldn’t Debian make more sense for a server?
