Very difficult to discuss with the fiance without know the terminology yet lol

    a subdivision of a community (by community I mean lemmy as a whole) is called a sub

    Imagine how confusing these double definitions are for newcomers.

    • Lemmy: The software and platform, maybe also an individual user
    • instance: a server within
    • community: what OP asked for

    This language is consistent with the user interface and otherwise available documentation.
