As long as you use good sources, honestly 90% of the time you can make an edit stay. I did have one account banned way back when I started editing Wikipedia (because I didn’t know how to follow the rules), but once you learn the ropes it’s super easy.
I’ve also helped get biased Western sources downgraded on the reputability lists, which has huge effects on hundreds of articles.
reuters is on the list so you can use this one. This one is from a reputable egyptian newspaper but I didn’t see it on that list, so you might not be able to use it.
I’ve got a highly repped Wikipedia account, if anyone can find quality sources I can edit the article in a way it can’t be reverted
