Ecowas is one of those organizations whose main role has become that of a tool to facilitate control of a region for neo-colonialism. This is a big L for the West, they have lost three entire countries. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the coming years we also see similar exits out of other regional organizations (such as OAS in Latin America) which are part of Washington’s hegemonic system.
