    Just the usual cringe. This person makes a good point: Element needs paying customers, and governments (police included) are a large customer that it can’t realistically ignore. A fringe group that loves to throw around “fascist” at anyone and everyone is throwing it. Is that group contributing financially or in labor? I’m going to go out on a limb and say probably not much, and certainly not enough to offset boycotting governments and law enforcement.

    I also question the utility. Law enforcement and armed forces aren’t going to get more ethical because they don’t have Matrix. They’ll just move on to one of the dozens of other solutions out there, putting Matrix development in a worse place in the process.

    What are the alternatives to that? So far nothing bad happened. I guess keep it in a distance so to speak.

    Sarcasm. …if its end to endencryptedansd not backdoored then that would mean you could just generate tons of random text and ”sell" it to anyone dumb enough to buy it…and if there is anyone dumb enough its police or government military agencies.
