If you want to talk about human rights, imperialist capitalism is surely not giving Americans “socialist” subsidised healthcare (available across the border in Canada) or stopping the loot that happens with student loans, or even stopping the horror that is anti mask or anti vaccine propaganda. That is not freedom, but abuse of freedom, and actually harming the right to life. Oh, and what is the government approval rate there, and how much power does the citizen have in shaping public policies and Parliament bills?

Chinese citizens actually have a lot of power in shaping public policies, have a government that listens quite a lot, does not suppress its next generation with student loans for the next decade or two, and there are neither forced vaccinations, nor the horrific anti vaxxer nonsense.

“Western” is not a smear word. You want a more offensive, yet accurate word? Anglosphere. The one word responsible for nearly all of atrocities committed upon humanity since the Renaissance. And the global surveillance apparatus does belong to them, as does 90% of global news media, as does IMF mafia, that attempted to bully Belarus sometime ago.

BTW thanks for resorting to the tankie ad hominem. It proves you are not fit for a civil and academic discussion. It also proves you are an Anglo-Saxon cheerleader. Try arguing on reddit instead for a more circlejerk kind of response, which you will not get here.

For some reason, all tankies think there’s only two possibilities: either you support China or you support the U.S. Well, guess what? I don’t support either!

False. Your utopian handwave gesturing is not a reflection of reality, and thinking X or Y thing does not make it true, regardless of what you think in your head. There is only going to be a bipolar hegemonic world for the next century, atleast, and the two poles will be USA and China, leading West and East respectively. This is a hard, solid fact that anyone who has studied enough politics, history and current affairs acknowledges.

If you are not picking sides in this particular case, that only means you are satisfied with the current global hegemon and its doings. And therefore, you generally support USA over China. (This is also apparent by your repeated baseless hinting at China being a dictatorial one man show. If dictatorships were so good and strong, dozens of them in the past would not have succumbed on their own.) This diplomatic weaseling of “both sides bad” does not work because the third option does not exist, atleast for the next 100 years.

Are you sure? Chinese people aren’t even allowed to complain about government policies, are they? There’s only one person who has a voice: Xi Jinping.

It tells how much you know about China, or have bothered to read about China without reading about them through the Western imperialist propaganda media ecosystem. It is pointless to correct you because you are already using the “tankie” label, and the next labels you will use are “wumao”, “50 cent”, “CCP shill” and so on. It is a typical pattern for any brainwashed and morally bankrupt person (usually Westerners) at this point.

It also proves you are an Anglo-Saxon cheerleader.

Again, tankie groupthink: either China or the U.S. Plus ad hominem.

How to look hypocritical, incorrect and bad together with one reply 101

Further engagement seems like a waste of time, since you are not in for academic engagement, so I will stop here.
