    This is incredibly valuable work. It is all too easy to lose a recipe forever. And recipes are a critical piece of human culture, so that is a loss both to that individual culture and world heritage.

    I have heard about the difficulty of even making these books to begin with. Oftentimes the recipes are passed down person-to-person over generations. However, they don’t necessarily use standard measurements. A pinch of this, a handful of that, and a generous spoonful needs to be turned into grams, cups, ounces, and so on.
