Sure, but net effect is that labour and resources are allocated away from productive efforts, and some tax money is diverted away from public services. Net effect is that individuals benefit at the expense of the majority.
A lot of people are making money hand over fist in this war. I imagine it’s a big motivator for keeping it going.

I’d say US war industry is probably going to be the biggest winner, but countries with oil and gas are definitely raking it in too.
