Didn’t the USSR also have nukes? In addition to China.

    through decolonisation

Are you talking about giving stolen/conquered land back to the natives? Also, how do we repatriate the non-native inhabitants? I can only imagine this happening in the more left-leaning/leftist Usonian states…

    balkanisation

I could see this happening, as Libs and Connies (despite being Libs) already no longer walk hand-to-hand. Though even after balkanization, I also imagine the Balkanized States of America creating an EU-like regional union.

USSR, China, DPRK having nukes is not the same as US having nukes considering US does not have a no first strike policy, is the only country to have dropped a nuke offensivelt, and has done it twice.

Yes, but USA or whatever remain of it, as a state shouldn’t have even pointier toothpick before they rehabilitate.

Decolonisation don’t necessarily (i guess you can think of the nazi version where everyone is being literally thrown to the sea but idk if anyone seriously wants this) mean resettlement of the people. It means first and foremost expropriation of the colonial elite and destroying settler political system. I agree the word is a bit misguiding because in socialist version it would necesarily had to be done largely by and for working class of settlers too.

About balkanisation, this is most realistic of three as it can and most likely will at some point, happen without communism, because their union is already showing signs of weakening.

The Red Deal is a manifesto, written by Indigenous peoples, about what Marxist decolonization could look like, and it should be mandatory reading for any socialist living in a settler colonial country.
