This is probably a testament to how petty I am with my tech, but I installed /e/ OS on my phone, and immediately installed all the Simple apps because the default /e/ OS apps have square icons a la iOS, and the Simple apps have typical Android circle icons, which better matches the other apps I have.
Their default launcher looks like the iOS one (personally really hate this tendency by Android ROM developers), and automatically converts other apps to the square design. However, other launchers can’t convert the square design to circles, and apparently even icon packs can’t, so I basically said “f*ck this, I’m fine using the Simple apps anyway!”
I mean, both sets of apps are open source, so… eh, whatever man.

Wait, so their stock apps have square icons and every other app is a circle? Why would they make that design choice? It’s just inconsistent.
