            Ooh, the deadly combo in terms of stress. At least it’s not engineering and math.

            I’m in third year environmental science but I want to do a second CS degree so I need all the GPA help I can get.

              why do your marks matter for enrolling in additional courses tho?

              (gpa is basically the average of all your marks/grades, right? 🤔)

                (GPA is the total running average, yes. Though in my case only the most recent 30 credits matter.)

                Because the CS faculty at my university is insanely competitive (to be fair it’s one of the best in Canada) and you need like high 70s to low 80s in your 30 most recent credits to get in, and my university is also notorious for not being easy to get high percentage points per grade distribution policy.
