It doesn’t occur to them for hitler “his people” are “Aryan” and nothing else. They think they’re being clever by saying stalin murdered his own people; meanwhile the Nazis considered gays, jews, slavs, non-whites and others as nothing more than slaves. Somehow that is the same or even better than Stalin.
