    Correct me if I misunderstand, but slavery is legal for prisoners, so I personally don’t quite understand why getting rid of voting rights would help? They are already locked up as slaves when they’re in prison and felons can’t vote anyways, so what would be the point of restricting voting rights for someone who already can’t vote legally as a felon? I’m not saying it’s false at all, but it seems repetitive is all

      I think they just misphrased it. They probably meant that the prisoners won’t be able to vote because of the felony.

        Ohhhhh ye that makes sense thx, that’s super fucked up. I go camping occasionally and luckily my state is a lot more grounded in reality(for the US that is) but I can’t imagine being processed and talking to a judge and explaining that I fell asleep. Literally that’s my crime. Being in a public place and resting
