    The shooters talk about their inspirations. It’s not some battalion in Ukraine inspiring them, it’s online echo chambers and previous shooters who they quoted in their manifesto.

    You’re right in that Azov and their friends shouldn’t be normalized, and that they do help train fascist/neo-nazi groups abroad like in the US. There are connections there in organized fascism. You’re also right about the US enabling these groups. But deranged shooters like this one aren’t looking to Azov for inspiration and the government they blame for aid. Related, but not to be conflated.

      Yes I agree with your point. That’s sort of what I meant but I forgot to add the nuance. I didn’t meant to say it was just Azov, but you worded it better. Cheers.
