City’s governed by a red-red-green coalition (SPD-Left-Greens) too
It’s been there since WW2, but it’s becoming the predominant narrative. Poland, the Baltics, Ukraine, Eastern Europe in general and Germany, they’re now establishing, weren’t liberated by the Red Army, but merely changed their oppressors for one even worse than the Nazis. The fascist narrative of the raping, murdering Soviet army is popping up more and more again. They’re pulling down Soviet memorials all over Europe, criminalizing the symbols of their liberators on liberation day.
The displays of the Soviet flag are now being judged as a symbol for the “condoning of an illegal war of aggression”. As you said, history flipped on its head.
I have hopes for China, but as we get further into a future, it’s seems that it will be a last bastion of at least socialist model, against world full of libs and fascists.

But instead of death of capitalism it will be death of socialism. Final death, because capitalists would never again let socialists rise.
