The best I think is Piped, but yes, it’s not so easy to replace YT. Piped does a great work because it use a own system without the googlevideo.API or forking Invidious. This permits to view YT vids even the restricted ones and even is capable to cut out sponsor blocks and intros (I don’t know how can do this). But lacks some other features and sometimes the streaming isn’t very fluid. The best is to use YT and cut out all Google crap, there are enough good browser extensions to do this.
