Well capitalism as a system is built on the exploitation of the proletariat by the bourgeoisie. This exploitation is only further expanded worldwide as capitalism-imperialism grows even stronger as a hegemonic system. So no ethical consumption under capitalism is true, but people use that as an excuse to further do shitty things like eat meat even when they can stop.
