Sadly, with how western marxists are viewing things, they will never be able to arrive at the correct conclusion and the true picture of the conflict. They just won’t accept that no power in the world is left to oppose capital in any form other than themselves.

They are engaging in pure idealistic analysis. There is not a drop of dialectical materialism in these “two bourgeois states” ideas.

…by “western marxists” I still include GenZedong users too. If you can’t pinpoint the interests of our Russian bourgeoisie it doesn’t mean there are none to be found. The situation with NATO expansion in Ukraine is the culprit, yeah, but partially. Because during that expansion towards the borders of their capitalist opponent (China and its allies) NATO stepped on the landmine of the economic interests of Russian capital. So it is still a war of bourgeoisie and moreover a part of a lasting economic clash between China and USA.
