Xenia, the fox girl mascot of Linux, was first designed in 1996 by Alan Mackey. She was meant to be an alternative to Tux, the official mascot.

She had fallen into obscurity, but was noticed by a Twitter user in 2019 and was redrawn as a fox girl. But as it turned out, Xenia was originally meant to be male! The original creator, Alan, was cool with this, saying “It matches the transition of a lot of the smartest, nerdiest Linux users I know” and “And sure, you made her trans!”.

So now we have a trans Linux mascot. And I think that’s neat.

    intrusive thoughts

Sometimes I think about using urinals in the men’s room and fighting anyone who gives me shit for it. It’s so much faster, I don’t have to touch anything besides myself, and I think standing empties me out better.

But gawd it would cause so many fucking problems lol

      spoiler

I struggle deciding which restroom to use in public. idk if I’d rather be seen as a girl or a femme dude in the men’s room or gamble on passing in the ladies, but risk being seen as a pervert/degen/predator etc.

Urinals are convenient, especially if you you are using the men’s bathroom anyways. Sometimes there’s like one stall that’s already being used. I still use them when the bathrooms are pretty empty, but because tucking, it makes it a little more awkward if others are there.

At home, I often pee while standing, partly because my roommate always puts the seat up when he’s done (even if he poops) and sometimes I just don’t feel like putting it down.

Haven’t used a women’s restroom in public that isn’t a one-person-only bathroom (and other guys frequently use it if the men’s restroom is occupied).
