    That sounds nice. Though I would not deny the aesthetic of the early iMacs and iBooks I think the late 90s Powerbooks were the Apple devices closer to be “consumer-friendly” due to the ease of replacing and upgrading parts and the range of options to customize, something few companies nowadays would offer. Curious how that ideology started to die the moment Steve Jobs returned as CEO.

      Ya the early iMac was beautiful. I got it as a very young kid in 1999 lol. Wasn’t Steve Jobs gravely obsessed with making their products impossible to repair?

        Why yes. Jobs knew that the prior executives which promoted machines easy to upgrade/repair to ensure customer loyalty were doing “bad” business. Nowadays the Jobs approach is one of the cornerstones of modern Apple.
