(EDIT: Lemmygrad seems to work again, as of 22:20 UTC on 2022-03-24. The question remains on what to do about it, if/when it happens again…)

I am having problems accessing any page on lemmygrad.ml. First, there is a very long time loading it, then there is the error:

404: FetchError: invalid json response body at http://lemmy:8536/api/v3/community/list?type_=Local&sort=Hot&limit=6&auth=[a lot of letters and numbers] reason: Unexpected end of JSON input

I also encountered the 504 Gateway error quite often today.

The errors don’t happen every time, occassionally I can load a page, but rarely enough that I can’t use Lemmygrad.

Lemmygrad used to work fine before, and lemmy.ml seems to work still, so that would be my only explanation… Anyone else experiencing this? And is there anything that can be done about it?

I agree theres alot of really shit stuff in the west, and I dislike most of American culture but some of the ad-nauseum self affirmation of some of the stuff spewed out particularly in the last 30 days seems like it could only come from a military grade troll-factory or extreme levels of insecurity.

    Thank you for this

This was your daily friendly reminder that communism is about freedom & equality

because there are days this place I come to learn about the left feels…the opposite

Yup that’s it. Just like western empires have their TV shows and NGOs spewing propaganda, Putin has an army of half-stalinist/half-neonazi online trolls, some of whom are paid as part of such “troll factories”. It’s funny how some “leftists” think they’re fighting for the little guy when they’ve just sided with a different bully without realizing it :-)

Yeah the internet often feels like a very bad place for political organization. Get together with some friends and start conspiring: steal from your local supermarket to redistribute resources, organize a cantine/concert to raise funds for self-organized projects, open a zine/book library with radical reads, etc… Just be open and radial and show practical support to people who are also struggling for radical change, you’ll produce more meaningful results than any of these internet trolls will ever <3
