About half of the US population are eating up what the Republicans are feeding them. Just because you’re from there doesn’t mean you’re more knowledgeable of the real political situation.

Also, maybe you should look at the actual data on the proportion of pro-PRC and anti-PRC Hong Kong citizens, I think you’ll be surprised.

I didn’t say he knew more, I just said his opinion is likely to be more relevant to the situation than yours (assuming you do not live in Hong Kong).

So do most Purto Ricans, Guam citizens, Samoans, etc, and know about the daily lives and politics of people in Washington DC? What about Texas? Georgia? Alaska? Hawaii? Would they know enough to definitively assess how people there are being treated by the government? Or do they mostly get their knowledge from what the media wants them to think (which, Hong Kong media, both State and private, is almost completely separate from Mainland Chinese media, so it’s not even comparable to the media situation in the US).

I don’t claim to speak for those people, nor do i speak for the dev or anyone else from chinese colonies. I’m just pointing out why the dev may have strong opinions on the subject, and why smearing his project is really doing no good. What do you expect to get out of posting this here? Just to have other people agree with you? If that’s the case then I think you should look up the definition of an echo chamber.
