It’s not like the hotplate doesn’t work… from what I’ve tested. The unit has no stove or oven, just this hotplate

    For smoke, you can strap a good filter to a box fan to make a cheap air filter

    Basically save up for an air filter if possible

      Yep, good filters aren’t cheap and cheap filters won’t do you any good, but they will last you forever if you are only using it once in a while. And a filter strapped to a fan is way cheaper than a built to purpose air filter. And the fan still works as a fan when you take the filter off.
