Well, there goes my sleep for the night.
Well, there goes my sleep for the night.
Thanks for the heads up!
That was the spec sheet provided by the company, but without any backing info, testing, or engineering expertise. The more digging people have done on this submarine, the more of an absolute shit show it is.
I think the blurb sets up a bad set of expectations. “Lesbian necromancers in space” makes it seem like a Sci-Fi/Fantasy LGBT+ romance novel. Instead you get a mystery in a setting that is only technically science-fantasy with a vague romance side plot.
The ending isn’t happy, that is for sure.
What were the issues people had with it? Pacing in the middle third?
So, what you’re saying is that a Steam Controller is a better choice of diving equipment than the Logitech PlayStation knock off?
Only the most optimistic guesses about their air suggest there is any left in it at this point. We’re pretty much at the recovery phase.
Red Sister was quite interesting. IMO the rest of the series doesn’t hold up.
I highly recommend Gideon the Ninth down there at the bottom too. Very highly. Why haven’t you started yet?
Bezos hates this! Save money with one simple trick.
The prosecution is undoubtedly taking lots of notes every time Trump does an interview.
Honestly, anything is better than nothing. Write whatever you think is relevant and eventually you’ll get a feel for formats that work for your company.
I first saw the story pop up in r/UFOs, which isn’t a great start. Granted, the story is well sourced by conspiracy theory standards but still doesn’t quite raise to the standards of “extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” I put a mental pin on the story to see how it develops.
I’m entirely onboard and OK with your inclusion of GITS on the list and think that an examination of a theme inevitably needs to examine how a theme has evolved as it passes through other art forms.
That solution puts the burden on the ISP to do the filtering. While it is the technologically easiest solution, it would require overturning the laws protecting ISPs from the content they serve.
Mass Effect uses “Element Zero” which is a particle that attaches to nerve clusters and sometimes lets the user manipulate mass, gravity, and other forces in physics.
The Endless universe has nanobots left behind by an ancient technologically advanced civilization that destroyed itself. Harvesting and learning to use this “Dust” underpins a lot of the worldbuilding. Some heroic individuals end up infused with the stuff and it is the explanation for basically anyone who can do something supernatural.
In both those cases, the ability to leverage the “magic” is something that integrates into the individual, but learning to utilize it is a long running process. So your setting could have a nuclear science experiment somewhere spewing a new particle into the world, maybe it collects on certain people or maybe not, and people are just learning to how to use it.
You weren’t out of the loop, SE was keeping it on the down low. Partly because there have already been two major production delays (COVID, invasion of Ukraine) and it hasn’t been super clear when it would be ready for release. The producer is also doing double duty being the producer for 14 (if increasingly in name only) which probably isn’t helping anything.
If that is what puts him where he belongs… I can live with it
LAMP + mediawiki went pretty quick for me. The issue was that I didn’t want to dig through all their config files to tweak it to what I wanted.
But it is Bethesda we are talking about here lol.
I’m sure they will rely on the mod community for bug fixes like they have their last few games.
Not including whatever Wagner got up to.
