  • This game is a good thought experiment that you can play yourself.

It can help to see connections and interests in all the different facets of society.

I’ll help you out with the stick community though (I’m sure you can think of lots of other examples of how it’s political):

Take a wood product into a country with strict quarantine.

Maybe one of those sticks was removed from a protected area.

Try carry that stick into a secure area, suddenly it’s a weapon. You don’t agree? Better argue your case to politicians who wrote those laws.

I agree with you. There is legitimate criticism of UBI especially of the Yang flavor.

I’ve just always seen it as increased unemployment payments with fewer conditions rather than a replacement of the welfare state.

The UBI I support is only a replacement for unemployment benefits and all the welfare state social safety nets would still be provided for I.e. single payer healthcare, social housing

Is that still a capitalist nightmare?

Not sure I agree as it seems like black and white thinking.

I.e. I could imagine a scenario where someone is very obviously/admits to using neopronouns disingenuously and that would break my social contract with them to honour it.

If I make an assessment of neopronoun usage on a case by case basis I can still avoid witch hunts. It’s similar to how I determine in real life if someone is an asshole or not.

Another way; I can support a person who I genuinely believe uses neopronouns while denouncing and excluding someone who doesn’t.
