“THE UNIX PHILOSOPHY!!!”
The “Unix Philosophy” held Unix back to be a simple system only suitable for servers. GNU is something much more and it’s because of its non-adherence to “T3HUNECKZFILOSOPHEE”. Been using GNU for over 20 years, and systemd is the best thing that’s ever happened to it. Period. Suck it, haters.
Let’s just ignore exactly WHY ddg does the link redirection on older browsers as they explain in the link next to that and cry about DDG BAD when there’s zero proof of that.
And you shouldn’t be using older browsers anyway.
People are dumb.
Needing to keep local backups of your online content? What a novel and new concept. Oh wait, it’s not.
If you don’t take daily/hourly/whateverly local backups of whatever vital things you have online and expect whoever is hosting it to be 100% reliable in restoring that content, you have serious issues. This shouldn’t be news at all, beyond “libretro git got hacked, they’re fine now”.
