I’m really happy they got UL certified, I realize this community tends to really like DIY solutions, but if I’m going to recommend an ebike to my parents or to strangers, no way am I recommending one without a lot of safety certifications.

This is a classic solution in search of a problem. The problem with stop lights isn’t that corporations control them, the problem with stop lights is that the general population thinks that cars are the only way to get around and demand that city officials optimize street and roads for cars. Adding a bunch of crazy verification steps will not solve this problem.
This is another social problem that technology just can’t solve.
Are you a fastfood business with over 50 locations?
Yeah, a lot of Linux Unplugged is just a soapbox for crypto bros. It’s pretty sad stuff.

Usually in my pants pocket, but if I’m in shorts and the pockets are too loose I have a bag that’s clipped to my handle post that has just enough room for wallet, phone and keys.
I mostly agree with this, I have it on my laptop. Took an hour or two to learn it, used a live image from the website just like any distro. Not for beginners, but someone that is used to arch, after you rtfm it’s fine.
Yeah, the problem is his beloved Amsterdam got better based on incremental changed done by advocates, so I don’t really blame him while at the same time it’s not the right answer, imo. We should all be demanding change.

Not looking forward to all the dead pedestrians this is going to create.
I’m glad it looks like it’s good, I’ll probably pick this up on steam deck, I’ve been itching for the escapism of a life sim.
I really want to see a deep analysis of all the bike rack types that exist, and the various security implications of them. Personally if I can see the bolts exposed on the ground I don’t take the bike out of my sight.
I recommend going to a local bike shop that sells ebikes if you have one near you and trying them out for a ride. I have a tern HSD (not exactly cheap) but there’s a lot of competitive options. Do you plan on only commuting or like grocery runs?
Same! It’s our most used appliances now, and being able to fold vertically really helps with our tiny kitchen.
I wonder where this sentiment was when they tried to slander the Apollo developer.
Man, citynerd is really selling me on St Louis
Good question! Riot games has a history of being a toxic work environment, from the early days, but if you search for “riot games harassment”, you can find many examples of the entire company not being worth spending money or time on, despite perhaps making progress the past couple years in the bottom rings of the company.
Here’s one article that summarizes my feelings: https://www.wired.com/story/riot-games-ceo-culture-complaints/
