@SituationCake @Thornburywitch There’s occasional pieces of new brilliance (Aussie musical Fangirls is phenomenal) but yeah, so many repeat runs of the same things at high ticket prices no less
@joannamuses on twitter. Thoughts on books, Eurovision, Melbourne happenings, music and culture with bonus architecture and cute animal pictures.

@ajsadauskas @degoogle I guess the problem though is how you make sure they are actually maintained by a human acting in good faith. The way community Facebook groups meant to be for this kinda thing get spammed by likely fake businesses doesn’t give me hope
@ArmoredThirteen @Coreidan Agreed. My worry is not even that youtube will do a big conspicuous wipe of things (though they might). It’s that they’ll quietly start deleting low view count content from accounts who don’t log in much leaving people wondering if they were misremembering that they used to be able to access certain content
@DeltaTangoLima @WaterWaiver I’ve been on internode but thinking I might move to Aussie Broadband. Last time i needed tech support from Internode after my connection was somehow disabled was an unpleasant weeklong saga
@TheBananaKing @vividspecter @ajsadauskas the last two times I was job hunting Centrelink absolutely made it worse. I wasted so much time on jumping through their hoops and spent money I couldn’t afford to spare travelling to useless things they made me do

Norwegian indigenous electro pop group KEiiNO. My favourite song of theirs is Monument https://youtu.be/jQaiarjof2k
I love the joy in their music and the interesting was they incorporate indigenous music traditions and the Saami language. I originally heard them at Eurovision but didn’t properly get into them until a while later.
Have a bunch of memories but a fave is that they were touring Australia in 2019 and had two near sold out shows in Melbourne. I saw a Facebook post about a third show. Seemed suspicious. Wasn’t on the bands website or other places I’d expect to see it listed, ticket price was weirdly low and a venue that didn’t seem to usually do live music was listed. Some friends and I were bored so decided to go see just in case it was real. It was actually real. A dozen fans and a dozen random bar patrons had a great time dancing along to their music and chatting with them between sets
@Baku @ajsadauskas we could learn some things from China who are willing to build metro stations in the middle of overgrown fields they know will be developed in the coming years
