I’m pretty convinced that King is a huge part of this for them. People are so focused on the console side of things because of console war nonsense.
Just a reminder that “Mastodon” is the software, not the specific service provider. Mastodon.sdf.org is different from, say, Mastodon.social even though they run the same software.
If you haven’t already, you should contact the admin for that instance with your concerns. The contact the site lists is mastodon@mastodon.sdf.org
Another one for Storygraph. Really like it. I had considered checking out Bookwyrm but couldn’t find an instance of it that spoke to me, and the idea of trying to export and import all of my Storygraph data wasn’t appealing.
Most of the supposed benefits of blockchain in gaming would either never actually be realized due to the infeasibility, or would be just as easily implemented using alternative, pre-existing methods.
I dunno, the park is almost a deal breaker…
I can’t say I knew anything about how they operated to begin with. How did they pay their bills?
Yeah, as the longest standing player in the space clearly Nintendo is to blame.
You seem to go out of your way to read and response to everything in the most argumentative way possible. Basically every comment I see from you is this way. In case you are not aware, people are not obligated to talk to you. Please discover a new way to interact with people.
Where I am from, we don’t make these distinctions on the color of a person.
Not everybody is from wherever you’re from. There’s a chart up there for that, too.
Same, long-time user of forums. Lamented the relative death of the independent forum, and very happy to be here for a possible return of sorts.
Yeah that is the Proton Unlimited plan.
I never engage with YouTube Shorts, so I’m mostly just skipping right past those. While I tried out YouTube Music after Google Play Music got shut down, I ultimately did not enjoy it as a service and started using Pandora instead. With that said, I still occasionally see recommendations of playlists on YouTube due to my YouTube Music data. It’s marginally annoying.
All of this to say, it would probably bother me more if they were all services that I interacted with on a regular basis.
I think this may be related to this bug.
Great lists already. I’ll add What Remains of Edith Finch
Thanks for sharing!
What mobile app is this? It appears that the app developer has specified a minimum supported version which is newer than the current version of Lemmy that Beehaw uses.
Yeah it’s quickly become one of my most frequently used keyboard shortcuts, and I’ve used it for exactly that purpose as well.
Win + Shift + Left / Right Arrow will shift a window from one monitor to the other. Should have known that keyboard shortcut a lot longer than I have.
Ironically, if they had just outlined their eventual plan for what they would do in the event that the service was ever shut down I think more people would have been willing to try it. At least some portion of potential users chose not to use the service because they thought it likely Stadia would eventually get shut down and the money they spent on those games would just be lost. But at the end of the service, the users basically got refunded for everything.
In my opinion, yes. I am a long-time fan of the book series and have enjoyed the first season of the show. There are differences, as there always are with adaptations and especially an adaptation of this scope. Just as with all adaptations with existing fandoms, some fans are bitter about it.
