Wasn’t the use of bunker fuel being constrained essentially everywhere? I remember it being talked about a couple of years ago as an issue for diesel supplies as that was what they were switching to.
It will be interesting to see what happens to Australia, as it seems likely the weather will get even hotter/more chaotic. That said, if sea levels rise enough we might get the inside of the country flooded which would drastically change the climate.
I’ve waiting on the framework 16 to come out (and be reviewed), as it fits what I want perfectly. Repairability, functionality, etc. all sounds really good.
It’ll be interesting to see if they face issues with governmental contracts in the long term, but I won’t be holding my breath on that one.
Yeah, still waiting on comms from my employer on this. They increased pay with the last one, so I am hopeful, but I will have to see. Also interested to see what pay rises they are giving, as I’m only just over the salary exempt threshold for my award (which will be increasing soon, hopefully by a decent amount)
Often they keep the packaging the same size, the inside just has more air and less product.
Interesting, I though those groups tended to prefer the eureka stockade flag. Has it shifted more to the Australian flag now?
Unfortunately, I don’t see this getting any better in the future. It looks like we are either going to have higher interest rates (which will be passed on if the landlord is capable of doing so) or a recession (which isn’t great for renters either). Inflation acting on other household expenses is going to squeeze the budget as well.
Problem is, it’s nice and easy to hide whatever you want in the military budget, just look at the US. If people challenge you on it, you can just ask (gaslight) them why they are against defending Australia.
Especially useful if it’s controversial, or you want to leach off the government (the US MIC is a good example)
Pretty amusing it was allowed in the first place. Maybe we should thank the Russians for their ineptitude in construction, otherwise it would have been finished a decade ago, and I imagine it would be rather more difficult to kick them out if that was the case.
Problem is that battery technology follows a far slower doubling path historically than solar has (doubling as in Moore’s law)
Battery tech is also more complicated, as you are optimizing/trading off piles of different factors, and often different applications necessitate different tradeoffs (e.g. one-size-fits-all won’t be the case unless we have far better battery tech)
Any ideas where the top might be? Historically it has been when interest rates are higher than inflation, which isn’t the case yet, but we have a heavily indebted society so maybe that no longer holds true?
Its getting a decent amount of 500s for me when loading it (have to reload the pages a couple of times). Too many new users for the server, probably.

I drive a nc mx5, another issue is that their headlights (which are always bright white and far too bright even on low beams) shine directly into my side mirrors (and often the rear view as well) due to the height at which they are placed. Also, they are often are too close when high beams turn on automatically, which presents further problems for road awareness.
