it’s really hard right now if you don’t have followers on insta / twitter already. it’s gonna be easier once they add post search and more features

yup. I’m excited about the future of the fediverse
that connection is temporary as well. I’m guessing it’s rushed because they wanted to take advantage of the twitter situation
that’s not what zuck wants to do with threads tho
not currently but it will. fediverse integration is coming soon
That looks so good, love the keycaps and the wood spacebar. Where did you get it from?
I’m more of a kekw guy. RIP El Risitas
I’m so happy to see posts with thousands of upvotes on my front page. Fuck spez
if you don’t remove undetermined from languages in settings they should still show up, no?
I feel like most people there hate Twitter and they’re just waiting for everyone to move to a new platform. I still have my account, but that’s just to check on my favorite creators
Right now there isn’t, but I’m pretty sure they’ll add that. The “main” instances have some problems because of the amount of people coming from reddit. Kinda sucks but the only solution I have is to copy the text before hitting post and try again if it doesn’t work
turns on/off my lights and pauses my music
I only use it now to check my favorite creators’ tweets. fuck I can’t wait for it to die and everyone to move to another platform
I’m pretty sure that’s because it’s not supported by the app, yet. You could try subscribing from the website. I’m having some problems subscribing from lemmy.ml to communities from other instances but it works fine on lemmy.world
idk if it’s just me but this freshness gives me a feel of nostalgia like when I first made all my social media accounts
Has a 3d printed feel from the photo. Did you make the whole thing, case, pcb, keycaps?
Setting it to all shows you posts from all federated instances. As for the communities, I’m guessing as more people sign up and lemmy becomes more popular there’s gonna be some that are going to become the “main” ones. I’ve seen someone on github suggest they should add hashtags and use that to group all communities with the same name from different instances so that might become a thing
Welcome! I’m still figuring this out myself, but I hope I can help.
I don’t know how it works on each app, but if you go on the website and scroll all the way down there’s an ‘instances’ option that shows you every linked and blocked instance. Alternatively you can go to (yourInstanceURLHere)/instances and see the same thing.
I believe the load times are because of the amount of people using/signing up on this instance. It’s going to get better when they upgrade the server, but you can make an account on another instance (I recommend doing that) and use that when you can’t use this one. You can see more servers on join-lemmy.org/instances or if you want more info/data on the-federation.info/platform/73
It’s so weird. Kinda feels like I just took a break. Good to be back!
