Recently rediscovered MultiMarkdown. It extends Markdown with support for tables, math, footnotes, citations, etc.

Markdown where possible. ReStructuredText for the cases that require more complexity than Markdown was designed for. Pandoc for conversion.

i don’t think the author understands how Github is just a convenience layer on top of Git, and how easy it would be to move these projects off of Github.

I disagree with this design, but it’s not automatically sinister.

Facebook tracks you on the server with your user ID.

If you don’t use a Facebook account, they track you by IP address and cookies, even on other web sites. Firefox has a Facebook Container add-on that limits the information Facebook can collect about you.
