Even though I think banning unnecessary plastic items is fine and can lead to sensible innovation/more reuse, the debate around it is just a misdirection. Way more microplastic is due to car tyres or.fishing nets. Those have very big industries behind them that will fight tooth and nail against any regulation.
The garbage collector removes all packages/derivations that are not (transitively) used any more. So it is similar to apt-get autoremove. I don’t think that classifies as bloat. You could just regularly run the garbage collector.

You realise that debt of the government is equal to wealth in the private sector? Being debt-free would mean that there is no central bank money in circulation. How would this help the actual economy?
I disagree since overtaking a cyclist in the same lane is unsafe anyway. In the city I always cycle in the middle of the lane because it prevents unsafe takeovers and dooring.

You know in an in-group of friends you could call yourself that depending on context and it would be a joke but in a professional setting I would classify this as sexist. In fact, if you look at the link someone else posted in this thread, you see that women are very uncomfortable with his behaviour, even going so far as developing Stallman avoidance tactics.
To be clear, I generally agree with his stance on software freedom and don’t want to diminish his great intellectual contributions to software but I think he is not a good person to be put in a position of power.
I agree that it is not clear whether 100% vaccination rate would (without any measures) be enough to prevent an overload of the health care system but it would certainly help a lot. As a consequence the measures would not need to be as strict.

The freedom of the minority to decide that they do not want to vaccinate themselves comes at the (much higher) cost of freedom of the majority who are vaccinated and are still subject to lock-downs etc. In that sense I don’t think it is a matter of opinion. I would argue that this is indeed unacceptable.

Sounds like it might be good for relatively static content but what about highly dynamic content?
