The American bourgeoisie is truly in a position of economic and geopolitical zugzwang. Trying to limit investment in China will lead to an explosion in the costs of production and a shrinking of their hegemony. There is nothing that can be done, the contradictions of capitalism are coming home to roost. Their only option is genocidal war, which best case scenario for them is simply mutually assured destruction. They will pursue this option as soon as the economic implosion reaches critical mass, which truly could come at any time at this point.
